Meet Our Team

Ritchie Sanchez

Senior Consultant

Ritchie (Sgt. Sanchez) is a Senior Consultant who served six years in the Marine Corps as a Forward Observer. His passion has always been to help fellow Veterans in any way he can. He loves the outdoors and spending time with his family. His greatest hike was Mount Whitney which is over 14,000 ft! He graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego Christian College and is devoted to God, family, and Veterans.

Brandon Stevens

Senior Consultant

Brandon is a Senior Consultant. His favorite thing to do when he isn’t helping Veterans is cook with his daughter, Savie. During his spare time, he loves hiking, golfing, and traveling. Unfortunately, Brandon also happens to be a Cowboys fan (we’re still trying to figure out why) — but you can definitely say he’s a patient person, given that the Cowboys haven’t won a SuperBowl in over 20 years.

Nick Munoz

Senior Consultant

Nick is a Senior Consultant, and there’s no doubt he’s work-a-holic (it’s true, he’s always working), but only because he loves what he does — Helping Veterans change their lives and relieve some of their stress is truly rewarding for him. Besides being devoted to his job, Nick likes going shooting and ocean fishing — In fact, he’s caught about 100 tuna! He also loves going BMX racing with his daughter.

Eddy Torres

Senior Consultant

Eddy is a Senior Consultant and the “Sneakerhead” of the company (he takes pride in that). He’s a proud dad and says his life completely revolves around his 3-year-old son. They love to spend their time playing at the park or walking their “fat, lazy” English Bulldog, Penny, at the beach. Eddy also spends a lot of time golfing (even though he’s not that great at it) — practice makes perfect, right?

Millie Murillo

Case Manager Assistant

Millie is a vibrant individual originally from San Diego, where she was raised as a military child. Her upbringing afforded her the unique opportunity to live in diverse places such as South Korea and Italy. She takes immense pride in being the daughter of an Army Veteran. Millie leads an active lifestyle during the week, balanced by restful weekends. Her beloved dog, Ollie, a white Labrador blend rescued during the COVID lockdown, holds a special place in her heart and is cherished as her child. Millie is deeply grateful for the supportive friends and family in her life and finds great fulfillment in her work. A true San Diego native, she passionately supports her hometown team—go Padres!

Jose Morales

Case Manager

A Jose (we call him Jojo) is truly dedicated to his work — He says the feeling he gets after helping Veterans change their lives is priceless. Jojo is also a busy bee! He’s currently going to school as a business major and is constantly in the gym (but you’d never notice because he still doesn’t have any gainz). The three things he loves the most (other than himself) are God, helping people, and taking care of his family.

Ivan Monroy

Case Manager

Ivan is a dedicated Veteran who served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Now, he channels his commitment to service by guiding fellow Veterans in need of support. With a deep understanding of the challenges Veterans face, Ivan is passionate about making a positive difference in their lives. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and driving along the beach, activities that help him clear his mind and find peace. Ivan treasures interactions with others, as they enrich his perspective and enable him to see the world from different angles. His genuine desire to help make him a valuable advocate for the Veteran community.

Outside of work, Tori enjoys road trips and creates quirky and fun projects with her two young sons, teaching and creating cherished memories.

Her strong faith and commitment to making a positive impact on others’ lives drive her work. With a deep familial connection to military service—her husband is a Marine Veteran, her father served in the Army, and both her grandfathers were Veterans—Tori is passionate about supporting those who have served. She brings personal touch and a genuine understanding to her role here at Veteran Adviser Consulting.

Most importantly, she cherishes spending quality time with her family, whether it’s sharing meals, engaging in activities together, or simply enjoying each other’s company.

Ashlynne Shafer

Case Manager

Ashlynne comes from a military family (a Navy brat), and this background has fueled her passion for working here. She enjoys writing stories online and loves doing karaoke with her friends. She is currently studying criminology and hopes to become a forensic writer on the side. Ashlynne’s smile and laughter bring joy to the office.

Cesar Sanchez

Case Manager Assistant

His name is Cesar, and he loves being at the beach or finding places with a nice view. He enjoys trying new hobbies such as golfing and working out. He is passionate about cooking and exploring new foods. He also cherishes spending time with his friends and family, valuing every moment with them. While he could be doing many things, these activities are what he truly loves.

Tony

Case Manager Assistant

Some of his favorite activities include going on hikes, spending days at the beach, cooking, and going to the movies. His connection and passion for helping veterans are directly linked to his father, a 30-year U.S. Navy Veteran. Growing up, Tony witnessed the sacrifices made by many military heroes and veterans to keep the country safe and has a deep appreciation for them all. Tony is known for being serious about his work but also enjoys keeping the energy positive and fun both inside and outside the office.

Christian Meza

He is a case manager at VAC and is known as the class clown of the office. He studied business and marketing in college and also played baseball during his time there. Outside of work, he enjoys all sports, especially golf, as well as eating good food and traveling.

Ginger Scholz

When not at work, her life revolves around her 5-year-old daughter. Realizing that life is short and tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, Ginger puts her energy into enjoying experiences and creating memories to enrich her daughter’s life. She is also a huge animal lover and has been active in dog rescue, volunteering with a pit bull rescue for over 10 years. Additionally, she loves to bake and runs her own baking business. Baking with her daughter is one of their favorite pastimes.

Kaitlynn Morales

Case Manager Assistant

She is a Case Manager Assistant with VAC who enjoys pranking her peers. Her best friends describe her as kind, funny and honest. Coming from a military background, with her father being a retired sailor and both sides of her family having served in the Navy, she has a deep-seated passion for helping others. She values discipline and resilience. Outside of work, her heart belongs to her daughter. They enjoy exploring new destinations, embarking on spontaneous adventures, or simply spending time together at home. She pours the same level of care, compassion, and enthusiasm into her work and her personal life with her daughter. Her dedication to nurturing her daughter mirrors the commitment she brings to her professional role, ensuring that her daughter grows up in an environment filled with love and inspiration.

Viviana Barrera

Viviana is a Case Manager Assistant and is truly dedicated to making a difference in the world. She was previously the head of a non-profit in Mexico that provided food, clothing, and goods to the less fortunate. So working with VAC was a perfect fit — She says she loves her job because it allows her to change people’s lives for the better. In her spare time, she loves traveling, camping, and riding dirt bikes and motorcycles. She’s also a book worm and plans on having a home library with every book she has ever read.

Eric Torres

Eric is a Junior Consultant and part-time “car nut.” He loves cars and is currently working on his 1985.5 Porsche 944. Eric also enjoys having fun with his 4 kids and is a huge dog lover — You’d never guess by looking at him that he has the cutest miniature chihuahua named Babies and pug named Ellie.

Stephanie Tebbetts

Case Manager

Stephanie served as a Firefighter in the Air Force. She has a daughter, a son, and a Belgian Malinois dog named Diezel —”I saved him and he saved me”
(If that doesn’t make you cry, we don’t know what will). Stephanie loves helping Veterans because she knows how life-changing it can be to get the rating you deserve. In her spare time, she likes to camp, fish, hunt, and spend time with family. She also loves collecting unique rocks. Stephanie is very blunt — She says she’s just as surprised as everyone else with the words that come out of her mouth.
